What are your tasks?
As a Product Owner, your role will be to ensure our product meets the needs of our customers and aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
Here’s a non-exhaustive list of what you’ll do:
- Stay Informed on ESG Legislation: You’ll ensure you’re up-to-date with the latest legislative developments impacting ESG (reporting) frameworks, including ESRS, VSME, SASB, GRI and the EU Taxonomy. This knowledge will inform how we design and adapt our offerings.
- Translate Market Needs into Features: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify market demands and translate them into actionable software features that align with business goals and user expectations.
- Facilitate Cross-Team Alignment: Act as a liaison between the sales and development teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of priorities. Your role bridges the gap, ensuring customer needs are accurately reflected in the development pipeline.
- Oversee Roadmap and Sprint Planning: Take charge of managing the product roadmap and coordinating sprint planning to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-priority features and updates.
- Prioritize Effectively: Leverage your position to assess and assign appropriate priorities to tasks, ensuring the development team focuses on the most impactful work that meets both strategic and customer-driven objectives.
What skills do you require?
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in managing development teams
- Expertise: adapting to complex niche domains and mapping the concepts to software solutions
- Analytical Mindset: Confident in using a data-focused approach
- Management: Strong skills in people management, risk management and project/product management are essential.
- Architecture: A solid understanding of distributed architectures and microservices
- Cultural Fit: We’re looking for team players who breathe our core values, embrace the startup culture and are open to new ideas and approaches.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, with knowledge of French or Dutch as a valuable asset. Proficiency in other languages is also a plus as we expand internationally.
